Yep. Our staff is complaining a lot to IT already.
It's a paid OS, not a free advertisement platform.
All unsolicited -> class action lawsuit. |

Nope. Managed. Enterprise edition. Pathetic, is it not?
Upgrade teams.
Did you know?
Provide feedback.
Useful tips.
New feature.
It's a flood of crap that should even be there in the first place. |

They filled the xbox GUI with ads so bad I no longer have any games there I have installed on the console.
It used to be just installed games now its just ads for other games.
You can put games there but you have to scroll down a lot to even see them and its very limited to about 5% of the desktop.
Thats why I'm really happy with my Windows 7 PC and my Steam Deck.
I dont have any ads anywhere. I have adblockers on my PC and Steam deck is Linux so also no ads.
Have you tried to watch youtube lately? thata usually got about 1 min of ads before you can watch anything. And an ad about every 2 mins. Its really pathetic. On my phone I dont even use youtube anymore, I have another app that links to youtube videos without the ads and free downloads. |

Literally the only reason I use Windows at home is gaming. If Linux had anything remotely like parity at being able to run games I'd never look back.
I'm probably going to start dual-booting the rig though. An empty Windows with games, and then Linux for anything else. |

The same that happened with cable-tv, at the beginning you pay for ads free, now you still pay and the 60% of the watch time is publicity,
Consumers have to claim for regulations.
Fortunately I never paid for OS, and still using W7 with crack, only a few games are out of my OS by now. |

It’s the same for *everything*.
Amazon prime
Netflix
Disney
Catchup TV.
YouTube
Every frigging website
They ALL have adverts now. You want rid of them? Upgrade on-top of your existing subscription.
Want HDR/Atmos sound/4K? Upgrade.
Games have advertising in them. People here act ‘all surprised’.
Stop kidding yourself, it’s 100% the norm -unless you’ve popped out from under a rock.
Cable/satellite/terrestrial TV advertises all the time! You get breaks in the middle of live sport. You get adverts in channels that shouldn’t do adverts, because they advertise their own channels!! Roflmao.. |
