Personaly i've never had a prob with SF and i have about 6 games that have it. I've even built 2 machines with DVD players and DVD/CD RWs and they burn fine.
I can't understand childish attitudes nor can i be bothered with people that go on about like a broken record. There's has been a SIMPLE age old solution that has existed since you could buy games...YOU just DON'T buy them if they cause you problems.
That's the easiest way to hurt publishers, and the most inteligent way. Not screaming on the net like a spoilt brat!
The guy is a plonker and whether it's SF or ANYTHING else, your just asking for your ass to be sued slandering it blatantly....not exactly very clever eh
Grow up and move on eh...for every moron that moans about SF there's 1,000,000 worldwide that **DON'T HAVE PROBLEMS WITH IT**
Take the illegal copy software off your machine and voila it works.... |

The main problem I got with SF is the load times. Even though I have legit copies the load times are impossible. It checks the data, then it checks the security and then it loads. It's bullshit. And it's random too. So it ruins the mood of the game every once a while. I bought the latest splinter cell game pandora or something. I was in the mood to play it and had the set up well made. Y'know? I had the drinks, the chips and the perfect lighting. I pop the dvd in to play and I got a shit pc so it wasn't super fast. I got tired of waiting.
XIII was well done. Though loading was still lenghtly you weren't drawn into the game. So it didn't matter how long what took, you still ended up ratatatataing your way through the level
SF sucks |

I totally understand game makers wanting to secure their work. However, people are entiled to make one legal back up copy for safe keeping as long as they retain the original.
I agree with some that SF can slow game loading down and if they are at all doing what sony did with the root kit thing? Heaven help em!
But, It has turned me back to my xbox/ps2 and re disovered how fun they are.Granted, I love my PC but in the end if I cant get anymore games from torrents sites and get them to work the old way then its probbally a good thing.
Keeps us from sinning right? |

Can't say that I need SF, if I use legal software or not.
I can fully understand the publishers and that they'll loose money, if they don't use a copy-protection. But I always buy a game to support all the people who make it possible that I can play it, IF I LIKE it and could AFFORT it. This is the main problem of most of the people out there, they are just entertainment-junkies. But if I like a game I need no cp like SF that is a security-risk (like that sony-shit) or in this case SF (hope it has a sec-hole, because this is the end of SF then ;) that slows down the games. And I also don't like software that is hiding from the user. On the other hand I know no other solution for the publishers, than to make the games cheaper, so less people would make a 'private' copy...
heavy topic... have a nice day |
