the textures all look so flat and boring. definately not enough bump mapping to make this any good Wink

Ya, enjoy being the minority, lmfao. usually the only people i know that dont like CS are either useless FPS people, non-team player types or just out to lunch. usually they go for brain dead shooters like Doom 3, unnhhh, let me sit here so all the dumb ai creatures can walk up to me and die... oooooo tough! or how about the dumb soldiers in Doom 3 that sit on a crosswalk and continue shooting like idiots till you walk up behind em and off them with your pistol! lol or better yet, lets drown the player in complete darkness to make our game harder... wohoa.. (carmack to other developers"ok guys, we cut the hell out of the game and textures, lets make it more dark and give em a flashlight. i put some mild bump mapping in and made the ai like forest gump! and where i couldn't improve the ai, i just spwan a million creatures in a locked room, that should make it tough" other developers to carmack, "but this is not enough for elite gamers and our reviews are gonna suck john, our story is like made for kids and our missions are so linear!" carmack to developers, "it's me guys, john carmack, i always get good reviews don't worry!, wanna come with me in my rocket ship guys, i even got peeps holes in the bathroom!")

well it rocks. the graphics + the physics really give this (old) game another fun-boost Very Happy

it looks like they've added 0 extra detail to the maps. de_dust still looks like a HL1 map, with a new texture here and there. wheres the geometry? what a waste of the hl2 engine

what can i say, or you just don't like tactical fast moving shooters with very realistic damage? i see nothing wrong with HL 2 - CS, it looks amazing the physics are very wild (unless such things as a flying can coming at you and killing you isn't cool enough for ya) the maps do look nice and as usual the community likes to dress em up afterwards. one thing i'm glad to read is a head shot is a headshot and not this, oh lets knock your health down to 7 health.. finally they caved and made a headshot what it really is.
