Apparently even with the new Xbox 360 \'slim\' , disc scratch errors are still present. I wonder if M$ fixed rrod or E-74, and many other hardware failures associated with the Xbox 360?

Huh?! What's the point in shaking the console when the disc is spining and then wonder why it's scratched.. Rolling Eyes Do you usually shake your console while it spins the disc? For kicks?

Well what the hell did they think was going to happen to it?

DVDs rotate somewhere between 25 and 80 times PER SECOND, so moving the console is going to cause it to touch the plastic tray or the read head, scratching it to buggery!

Why the hell would you even WANT to move it?! Tards..

Yea, the manuals for the Xbox 360 have said, FROM THE RELEASE DATE in 2005, do NOT move the console in any way while it is on. They strictly tell you how to not scratch your discs. If you scratch them still, you deserve it lol

Oh, that and the RRoD has been fixed for what, a year or two now? Since about the 2nd round of elites started getting manufactured. But no, the RRoD doesn't even exist on the new console, as its not even possible for that to be displayed.

I can't see how its slim, it still looks like a friggin BRICK

Also it seems they went el'cheapo on the red ring lights.. now it just looks like the hal9000 when it fucks up. Again it makes sense, at least it does still have a red light..

As for disc scratching, tbh I can understand the point of not moving the console while its in use.. but this has been overcome in technology years.. I mean YEARS ago.. *cough laptops* portable cd players* cough cough

Microsoft are just using components that have a few cut backs, hey its got its benefits.

I'm sorry, but this is NOT (!!) a portable device.. why on earth would you even want to move it around while it's in use? Laptops are portable devices, so they do need this mechanism. Next thing you'll see a video of someone throwing their console throught the window and then complaining it's not very durable.. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Don't mind Koogle's opinion, he is so attached to his Xbox to he ALWAYS takes it with him when taking a shit on the toilet.
So for him, the XBlox is a PORTABLE device !

"throwing their console throught the window and then complaining it's not very durable.. "

yeah if you're on a boat throwing an xbox360 out the window to use as a ship anchor probably works very well Very Happy

Also plenty of NON-PORTABLE consoles have come out disc drives that have never had anywhere NEAR the problem of disc scratching.. go look into it, the disc scratching is caused by Microsucks abilty to go cheap ass on hardware. A disc getting scratched can happen without any console movement (its just quicker to demonstrate the problem)

not only that they have the fucking cheek to have a disc replacement program, that charges you money (way more than just the cost of disc+postage) to get disc damaged by there console replaced.

compare this to other consoles with disc drives.. you can makeup whatever bullshit you want to rationalize the shit tray drives MS uses, but fact is they've got problems.

Ozieo - hey no need to be jealous...if you want to borrow it just say Razz
