Looks like the chaps over at Ars Technica don\'t like Games for Windows Live much :-)
During a video game review, I mentioned that I considered Games for Windows Live to be a negative when it came to picking what games to buy, and I was asked why I felt that way. Well, if I\'m already logged into Steam, logging into

I don't read kotaku, so I don't know what you mean by that reference, but I find it funny that you pick the article where kutchera rips into MS for their shitty windows live service to mention this love they have for MS.
If they hadn't been purchased by Conde Nast and therefor were still independent, would you still have this hatred for them?
They seem to be one of the more balanced news sites we have these days, where some actual content goes into the articles and not just press release copy (*cough engadget cough*). Perhaps you could back up your claim... What specifically inflames you about them?
Back onto Games for Windows Live, it's one of the final reasons I gave up on PC gaming... MS was bad enough to deal with on the OS and DX side of things; I didn't need a mandatory and worthless service of theirs stealing CPU cycles as well. |

I had the same feeling, but I was not willing to give up PC gaming because MS wants to kill it in favour of XBox. I avoid those games instead. |
