2K Games confirms this morning that Borderlands 2, which arrives in North America on September 18, will be powered by Steamworks on PCs. What this means is that even if you pick up a retail copy of the game, your play time will be hooked in with Steam\'s services and community features.

Yeah I am happy with that too, after playing BF3 for the first time in 2 months last night and getting kicked by PB 3 times in less than 2 hours I'll gladly take VACS and Steamworks.

On the contrary, it's quite all right. I get to play it for free. Not my loss. The only downside is that I won't be able to take it with me on the flights - but I have plenty of other games to take with me, so I am ok with that.

Steam is a good thing, so an other plus for the successor of one of my top favorite games.

I hope, one of the known on line key vendors will bring some good prices for it (<30€).
