|
|
On July 22, 2009, Microsoft released what many critics would consider to be the greatest operating system ever made: Windows 7. Many critics praised the OS for its slick design, easy to use desktop interface, and its implementation of features that made it much more similar to other competing systems of the time such a

That is a false statement.
So, I'm just going to go ahead an assume the video is equally wrong. |

You say the topic like its in the past. I'm still useing Win7 as it IS the best Windows OS there is.
I can do many things Win10 cant. WMC for example. Yea, I use that on a daily basis so I need it. Win10 doesn't have WMC so I cant updgrade.
There are also many apps I have installed that have been discontinued so again cant upgrade without losing access to those apps which most likely wont work in Win10 and the install does delete apps so I refuse to upgrade for that 1 reason. I wont risk having apps deleted that I cant install again.
And WHY update? EVERYTHING I do works perfectly fine. Its the assholes who update their apps and the websites which now refuse access to Win7 versions of the apps.
Well, I'll use it till I cant and even then I'll image the system and virtual OS it.
Thats a few examples why Win7 is the best and some people CANT and WONT upgrade.
Another is CNC machines, ATMs, business machines. Some are built with the OS as the core and I know for a fact there are some CNC machines that are built in Win7, some are even Win95 and cant be easily upgraded as the hardware, software, drivers are all built for that OS and there is no upgrade.
My brother worked with CNC machines and there were 2 I knew about that 1 was still in Win95 as the drivers were Win95 only and even that his company made the drivers for that machine it was not Win7 compatible so it couldn't be upgraded.
But they made a new machine and that was Win7 and when Win8 came out, again no drivers compatible and the machine is stuck on Win7.
So what about those machines?
What about all the ATMs around the world? most of them were Win95.
I haven't used an ATM for years but the last one I did use was still Win95 and this was when Win7 was ending support.
They threaten to end support but that still wont make people upgrade. Some cant, some wont.
I cant and wont. |

Exactly. Thats why I didn't watch the video either. its going to be full of crap and false statements.
Win Vista was like an upgrade to WinME but for businesses. Its not stable. Its like a alpha version of Win7.
I was a beta tester for Win7 and actually used the alpha and that was more stable than Win Vista.
I never liked Vista. way to unstable, not compatible with lots of things, a few upgrades but more bugs than good things. |

I've installed double boot for Win10 past week ONLY to play games that were made ON PURPOSE to don't work on Win7, many of them are able to run in Win7 with some glitchs.
With Windows 8+ you NO LONGER OWN your PC, connected to internet there is no way to control what Windows does in the OBSCURE background... |
