Gabe Newell, CEO of Valve Software, has
confirmed pre-load dates for the upcoming Counter-Strike: Source beta as well ass the date that Half-Life 2 will start pre-loading through Steam:
- 8/11 the Cafe's turn on.
- 8/16 CZ/ATI users pre-load.
- 8/18 CZ/ATI turns on.

| anyone dissing HL2 and CS, will you be around when these games become most popular thing on net? and correction there FX5900, it was Doom3 that was put out to early and 1 month strategically behind HL 2, I'd have figured you would have realized why by now. You really think anyone would have given a $hit about doom 3 if HL2 was out already? Please...even if HL 2 doesn't have the same lighting tricks or heat flares as Doom 3 Doom 3 will never ever come close to what HL 2 will pull in, in terms of community. HL 2 and CS are gonna be amazing and if anyone is gonna want to upgrade they will do it for HL 2 before they do it for Doom 3. Watch and learn how it's really done everyone. Carmack? are you watching or are you playing with your rocket ship? |

Don't waste your time, they already knew some lamer would go throwing out this information. The door has been closed and you're wasting your time. As well, they are tracking your steam client, so if you aren't on the list, it's your problem. Want to test your luck? go ahead and use buddies torrent link. |

| Well it's not going to be open forever - the timelimit was 72 hours and now it's closed. Anyways it'll be free with HL2 anyways...or for beta 4 more days for cs:cz owners to get it officially |
