the new CCC is a waste of space.... it's allmost as big as the Live/Audigy drivers |

roflmao, if it's as bad as Creative software, I don't feel that bad then.. but I saw it on my wifes machine and it looks ok, just want to see it but seeing how ATI put some detection crap in for part number for CCC, i have to flash my card to a retail ati 9700 pro. |

aside from the CCC these drivers are decent. I still can't get the CCC to recognize my radeon(sapphire). i flashed the card too, to a 9700 pro without problems and still it doesn't see the card/driver. So I guess CCC is pretty buggy.
Update:
I managed to get the CCC installed. Had to use ATI uninstaller, drivercleaner, delete references from the registry in current user, delete temp files including c:\ati and it finally installed. It's a little bloated but if you turn themes down it's pretty good. Can't say I find 4.9 any better than 4.8. |
