haha, yeah, bring on the good old days of Voodoo2 SLI ! and I reckon you need a 600-700 watt PSU...
edit: Too bad you can't buy a separate motherboard ... |

hahaha... so obsessed with beating the competition. who in their right mind is gonna fork out cash for TWO top of the line video cards and a xeon motherboard? (pretty much the only ones with multiple pci-e slots) woop-de-doo! its better than anything ati offers and the setup will only cost you 6x as much. ffs get a grip |

I love n00bs who make statements without first doing their homework. You really crack me up.
Non-Xeon mainboard with Multiple PCI-e:

I would buy two 6800 GT's in SLI - probably will cost not much more than a single X800XT Plantuim when they eventually surface, and the performance will be MASSIVE. |

Quote: | In the 1600x1200, 8xAF test, the dual-video card solution showed a 42 percent improvement, scoring 8,538 against the single card system's 5,992. |
i don't think this is massive, only 42% improvement.... I remember the Voodoo 2 SLI had something like 90-95% improvement.
The only thing that limits that geforce SLI system is the CPU (and the link between the cards, in a small manner)..until we'll see some 5-6-7 Ghz CPUs, we won't have 90% improvement over the single card setup. |

the drivers have not been fully optimised yet, thats why there is only a 42% performance increase at teh moment! |
