"Retails" - so, no internet activation and similar garbage, right?
The price is a bit steep for that.

Damn sixty mfin dollars. I preordered the regular game. The stupid bullshit on the other too aren't worth it to me. Pay once and done. It's microtransaction based now though :/. Have to see how bad/good the pay for power system is. Hope it's more like League of Legends.

It's an MMO, so of course its internet activated. You play the game online logged into your account.

I did not realize it was an MMO. Oh, well. Thanks.

It's supposed to be a more refined and polished guild wars which is all online. The big reason I bought it in 2005 was the pvp (was playing eve online and wow off and on around then). Made a guild with some friends and just ran different builds and whatnot. It's strikingly similar to mobas being that you have a small squad or team and accomplish whatever objective is required. The original you could level up vanilla mmo style up to 20 and pve to get elite skills and whatever you wanted to flesh out the character. They later introduced pvp packs and all kind of kits where you could avoid pve altogether and get what you wanted for cash instead of a time investment.

I have no clue about the gw2 though. Only reason I plan on spending the money for the game is to give it a shot. It's not any worse than the run of the mill mmo.

Well, I hope it's going to be everything you expect or even more.

I don't expect much of anything these days. Games that I can drop and pick up months later have more appeal to me now.
