No, but it offered the best physics at the time - and it is still better than most; especially after modding it a bit to make it more realistic.

Was hoping it would show vehicle crashes, not just into static solid objects.
Carmageddon (et al) was my fav sandbox games. I remember getting the time crack for the demo and simply playing it for HOURS!! used to just 'toy' with the other cars and just kill peds for to keep time clock going,Repulsificator anyone? Laughing Got to love the stupid names of the drivers, pit bull, mother trucker,buzz lightweight, heinz faust, screwie lewie.
I'm sure to this day i NEVER found all the shortcuts on all levels and fully explored everything. The camera suite in TDR was brilliant, amazing slow-mo right down to fragments of glass and gibs. (1/8sec if i remember?) Pretty sweet for it's time.
I got a complimentary pack from SCI for plugging it on the net.
Though i doubt it will ever be as good as it was back in its day, very rarely do games from the 90's make an impact today. Completely different generation and mind set. If it had guns -ala, Interstate '76, another timeless classic salut
