Who cares how Far Cry runs on expensive new video cards that 1% of gamers own? That just turns these articles into not very subtle advertisements for card makers. Crytek has plenty of problems to solve for its existing customers, as you can quickly see from the Far Cry forums.

i'm sorry but this whole 1.2 thing is a crock of crap. i've seen Farcry with good detail settings on a Radeon 9800 on 3Ghz. the game is a pig, simple as that. Very poorly coded and this game will need to get to patch 1.7 or 2.0 before it's even worth calling decent. what's the point of it?! this is another example of pushing a unfinished product out the door. i'm sorry, but to tell a guy with 3Ghz and 9800 to lower his settings, that's an insult. When you can play ut2k4 with 100+ fps and then turn around and play FC with a mere 30-45 fps that's a joke and clearly paints a picture of quality of FC.
