Conflict Zone is a 3D RTS game developed by MASA Group (French developer) It's early 21st century and the majority of the world's countries have created the ICP (International Corps for Peace) an organization dedicated to  bringing about world peace. However, not all countries are keen to be  involved and these persist in generating conflicts through the organization GHOST. A secret organization, which warrants only the  economic interests of its members without any attachment to morals,  GHOST, does not hesitate to create crisis situations with the goal of  destabilizing the world-wide equilibrium and endanger any chance of  peace…
You take command of either the forces of the ICP (the good guys) or Ghost (the bad guys). The difference with normal RTS games is that you can control up to 4 individual commanders who will join your staff, each specializes in a different field. They can be assigned funds for construction, defence, assault etc and will act completely independently until you decide to change orders. In addition the game  offers two very different gameplays and strategies (you can control either ICP or GHOST). For an example, if you play as the ICP forces it is up to you to save as many civilians as you can which in turn looks good to the media. So no bombing of nurseries, no killing of civilians :P But if you play GHOTS forces, the media are not so important as you create your own propaganda media reports to show the failings of the ICP forces :P
Alike other RTS games, you produce various buildings (Vehicle factory, Barracks etc) and arms using funds from allied governments as the ICP or 'unnamed sources' as GHOST. But there are none of the usual resources, instead bases the amount of money you receive on media coverage of the battle. For an example, if you go into an enemy-controlled village and start shooting innocent civilians, your public rating sharply drops along with the funding for the missions. However, if you rescue civilians using one of your helicopters, your approval rating goes up and your funding increases. The game itself is rendered in full 3D, with a free-roving camera (a full 360 degrees of rotation with a fair amount of tilt).  There is also a fixed camera angle to recreate the isometric view for gamers who want that perspective.
Conflict Zone features 32 missions (plus 2 bonus) in solo mode across 2 campaigns, a variety of terrain types including Asian, desert, snow etc, and 130  different units & buildings for more than 50 hours of gameplay in  campaign  mode. The game includes advanced AI that offers variable gameplay within repeated missions and  individual units show human-like  reactions, 12 different profiles of opponent in Skirmish mode, 25 multi-player maps plus a map editor and fight with up to 8 gamers through LAN or 4 gamers on the Internet.
Conflict Zone seems to be quite unique RTS game, with media feedback of conflicts impacts your popularity with public  opinions and ultimately your resources. If you are tired with classic RTS games, try this one, maybe you will like it.
