Road to India
(hx) 10:50 PM CEST - Jun,28 2001

Road to India is an adventure game developed by Microids (the company behind Amerzone). In the game you play an American student Fred Reynolds, who arrives at Neu Dehli airport, to join his indian fiancée Anusha. But everything changes when Anusha gets kidnapped by the mysterious sect of the Thugs, who are bent on human sacrifices and overthrow of the Indian government. The game goal is to rescue Anusha and stop the Kali worshippers, and you have only 3 days to do this. Road to India features real-time 3D-animated characters and impressive looking prerendered environments with the freedom of 360 degrees vision in first-person-perspective. Although the game resolution is only 640x480 (16 or 32bit color), the graphics are beautiful, with 3D acceleration. The best part of the game are probably sweet action-packed cut-scenes. Sounds are quite good too, though music seems to be very well done only during the cut-scenes. The game is extremely easy to play, unfortunately also extremely short - only 3 - 4 hours of gameplay :( Road to India is quite nice done adventure game, but also the shortest adventure game what I have ever played, that's way overall ratio is so low...

snd: 3/5 - Good, impressive music exists only in cut-scenes
gfx: 4/5 - Beautiful (though only 640x480/32bit), "warp" technology, freedom of 360 degrees vision in first-person-perspective, sweet cut-scenes
playability: 3/5 - Very good, easy puzzles, only 3-4 hours of gameplay :(
genre: adventure
release: May 2001
developer: Microids
Good
Overall: 65%

This game is too short. And what kind of name is "road to India" it should be called "Durts of India" there are no "roads" have you every been to india? India does not look like THIS IDIOT? Where not IN DISNEYLAND! TOTALLY unrealistic! ummm WHERE IS THE INDIAN MUSIC!!! WHAT KIND OF BS IS THIS! AND ONE MORE THING ITS "NEW DELHLI" NOT "NEU Dehli"
