Serious Sam: the Second Encounter is fast-paced DOOM-like first-person shooter, sequel to the original Serious Sam  by Croatian developers CroTeam. Actually it's not strictly a sequel, it's the second episode, the story continues where the first adventure left the player wanting more, you'll even see a replay of the first game's ending. Serious Sam: the Second Encounter features 7 new enemies (Curcurbito The Pumpkin, lasergun armed Zorg Mercenaries...), 3 new weapons (The Bonecracker Chainsaw, XOP Flamethrower, and Raptor Sniper Rifle) , 12 full single player levels (3 episodes), 4 news power-ups (Serious Speed, Serious Damage, Invulnerability and Invisibility), new platform and trap-based puzzles, Seriously Warped Deathmatch 3.0. Yeah there's finally a chainsaw (Vruuuuum!). I love this weapon since old DOOM, now you can slice enemies and cut trees - just for your pleasure :) Another great weapon is XOP Flamethrower which simply rocks! I loved to see how monsters screaming and running around in flames. Oh yeah :) What else to say, my overall impressions are that I love this game! This sequel is simply even better than original, though there's not much new in comparison with the first game. However The Serious Sam series is one of the best FPS games out there. Also the price makes the game the best bargain in gaming out there. If you like fast, furious, arcade style shoot-em-ups, then grab this as soon as you can!
